Rafael Nadal returns to the ATP Tour to play in Madrid Open 2022

After a rib injury, five times Madrid Open champion Rafael Nadal will back to the ATP Tour to participate in the Mutua Madrid Open. 

Nadal said in a Tweet, although the short preparation time and facing a tough tournament; I can't wait to play at home where we don't have many opportunities to do so. He also announced that he will participate in the 4th edition of the ATP Masters 1000 event. I'll do my best. See you in Madrid

Nadal, who has been out since Indian Wells, suffered a rib stress fracture in the semifinal against Alcaraz, although he faced Taylor Fritz in the final. On March 22, he announced that he would miss four to six weeks and return to Madrid as planned.
