The Washington Open, also called as the Citi Open, because of its sponsorship, is a combined men's and women's tennis tournament held on an outdoor hard court. The WTA managing owner organization during the pandemic decided to withdraw the event from the area. Normally, according to the old standards, the Citi Open was classified as an "international" tournament. It will be one level lower than the 500 level in the ATP and will reduce 16 players.
