The China Open 2023 is a men’s and women’s joint event held on outdoor hard courts in Beijing, China, at the National Tennis Centre. It will be the 22nd edition for men's and the 24th edition for women's. The men's and women's competitions at the China Open fall under the ATP 500 and WTA 1000, respectively, on the schedule. From 1993 to 1997, the tournament was held in Beijing; in 2004, it played with a new format as a back-to-back event for four years. In 2008, it first became a combined event.
