From 31 March to 6 April 2025
The ATP 250 Țiriac Open 2025 is a high-level competition; it will be played on a clay court at the National Tennis Center in Bucharest for the first time on the ATP Tour schedule. In this competition, all tennis players will play 28 singles and 16 doubles draws for the prize money of EUR 600,000.
The Tiriac Open is replacing the Romanian Open, an annual tournament that was held in Bucharest from 1993 to 2016. This event boasts a rich and intriguing history, counting among its past champions famous players such as Thomas Muster, Goran Ivanišević, Grigor Dimitrov, and David Ferrer. It takes its name from two of Romania's most celebrated tennis stars, Ion Țiriac and Ilie Năstase.
The ATP Tiriac Open 2025 will start from 31 March to 6 April at the National Tennis Center, Bucharest, Romania. In the same week, a few other ATP and WTA events will take place, including the Charleston Open, the US Men’s Clay Court Championship, the Solgirones International Open, and Bogota.
A number of players who are ranked in the ATP's top 100 will be participating in the tournament. There will also be some well-known players and wildcard entrants, whose names will be announced soon. The current champion, Márton Fucsovics, has already secured his spot after winning the ATP Challenger 125 title in Manama, Bahrain, just last week.
